After two days of intense activity, the RELaTED project consortium ends its General Assembly. On this occasion, the meetings were held in a hybrid format (onsite and online) at the Tecnalia facilities in Spain. Due to the current health situation, part of the project partners could not attend in person, but they connected by teleconference for all the sessions.

The first day the status of the demonstration sites was reported, in all cases already built and in operation. Specifically, the demonstrator sites had the opportunity to share with the rest of the partners the technical advances made in the last months, the operation of the systems used (solar system, heat pumps and performance boilers), as well as the overall performance of the DH in the 4 demos analyzed:

• DENMARK: Vinge and Energy Flex Houses
• SPAIN: Iurreta
• BELGRADE: Vinogradski Venac (residential) and UN school
• ESTONIA: residential Tartu

In the afternoon, the partners visites the facilities of the Basque Government in Iurreta, headquarters of the autonomous police of the Basque Country. The intervention in Iurreta consisted of the renewal of its corporate district heating network that supplies 13 buildings with different layouts and architectural needs.

During the visit, the partners were shown to a distribution ring at ultra-low temperature (35ºC) working in parallel to the pre-existing network as well as reversible heat pumps connected to the low-temperature ring. The heat rejected from them in reversible mode is injected to the DH during summer periods, preventing energy waste.

During the second day the consortium defined the next steps to be taken and the final actions that will be carried out in the coming months.
