After two days of meetings and hard work, RELaTED ends its last General Assembly. Due to the current sanitary situation, the meeting has, once more, taken place online. However, this has not prevented the partners from doing a thorough revision of all the developments and results obtained during the last months.

Last General Assembly RELaTEDEven though most work packages have already been finalized or are close do so, the agenda for the coming months will be intense. Specifically, several events are planned, among which we highlight those that will take place at the demonstration sites at Iurreta and Belgrade. Likewise, the consortium is working on the organization of the final seminar which will happen in Brussels in June 2022. We will inform about specific date when it approaches.

During these two days of work, the partners have been able to present the latest developments and have been satisfied with the results obtained both at the demonstration sites (all of which are already in a well-advanced implementation phase or finalized) and the technical results achieved during the whole project.

After years of joint effort, the RELaTED team has been able to overcome difficulties as well as develop and test an innovative and highly efficient district heating system which is attaining very satisfactory results in terms of energetic efficiency.

About the project

RELaTED project was born with the idea to develop a robust ultra-low temperature concept, which allows for the incorporation of low-grade heat sources with minimal constraints. The project has designed a solution that can pave the way for expanding and modernizing existing district heating networks as well as introducing and establishing district heating in emerging EU markets.

The RELaTED ultra-low temperature concept is being tested in Serbia, Estonia, Denmark and Spain. These 4 project pilots (large district heating network in Belgrade, new urban development, in Vinge, operational district heating in Tartu and corporate district heating network in Iurreta) will prove the technical and economical feasibility of the ultra-low temperature solution developed by RELaTED project.
